There was once a wood cutter cutting wood at the edge of a forest, a monk approached him and asked him to go a little in to the woods. When the wood cutter went in he found sandal wood trees, the wood cutter was so happy and he went back and thanked the monk.
The monk asked the wood cutter to venture a little more and this time the wood cutter found copper mines, the wood cutter rejoiced and went back to the monk. The monk asked the wood cutter to go a little further every time the wood cutter found something precious.
Finally the wood cutter found a diamond mine and wondered, if the riches are with in the forest why isn’t the Monk here, he went to the monk and asked him the same,
The monk with a smile replied, I did the same journey but in my own spiritual self, I went a little inside and found bliss, a little more inside to forsake my worldly desires a little more inside to attain nirvana and finally i found GOD with in me, now is there anything more precious outside.
